How long does ANWB reimburse the purchase value of your bike?+
When taking out the policy you choose between 3 or 5 years of purchase-value coverage. In the event of theft within that term, you receive 100% of the purchase value, minus the deductible. After that period a depreciation schedule applies (75% in year 4, 60% in year 5, and so on).
Which lock do you need for the ANWB Bike Insurance?+
For a regular bike, at least one ART-2 certified lock is required. For an e-bike a second-lock requirement applies: both locks must be ART-2.
Is the battery of your e-bike insured with ANWB?+
Yes, new and refurbished batteries are fully reimbursed within the chosen purchase-value term. After that, depreciation applies, and for the loss of individual parts such as the battery a fixed deductible of € 50 applies.
What is your deductible with ANWB?+
The deductible for theft or damage to the entire bike is 5% of the insured amount. For individual parts such as the battery, a fixed deductible of € 50 applies.
Does your ANWB Bike Insurance also apply abroad?+
Yes, your bike is insured worldwide against theft and damage. The legal assistance included in the policy is geographically limited to Europe, Russia up to the Urals and Turkey up to the Bosphorus.
