Fewer theft claims. Less fraud. Sharper premiums.

BIKEBAZE makes insured bikes visibly protected and records the bike data before the claim. Claims costs fall, fraud surfaces earlier and you get the data to underpin premiums.

Four ways BIKEBAZE lowers your claims burden

Fewer theft claims

A registered bike with a visible SafeTag is an unattractive target. Every prevented theft is a claim you do not pay out.

Direct effect on your claims burden

Less fraud

The bike data is recorded before the claim, so a claim that does not match stands out. And a falsely reported bike keeps riding: whoever looks up the frame number or scans the SafeTag sees the stolen status and contacts you.

Fewer unjustified payouts

Less administration

The bike data is already complete when the claim comes in. Fewer follow-up questions, fewer incomplete files, shorter handling time.

Lower handling cost per claim

Data for sharper premiums

Insight into theft frequency, hotspots and recovery. A basis for premium differentiation and prevention discounts.

Better risk assessment

Our results

What BIKEBAZE does in practice

Bikes with a SafeTag are stolen 98% less often. If one is stolen anyway, 27% come back. Registered only, without SafeTag: 5% come back, well above what is common for registered thefts. And fraud drops by 85%: a bike with stolen status is harder to resell. The calculator uses these figures; adjust them if you want to calculate with your own assumptions.

What the figures measure
  • 98%: theft of bikes with an activated SafeTag, compared with unmarked bikes in the same period.
  • 27% and 5%: share of bikes reported stolen that were recovered, with SafeTag and with registration only respectively.
  • 85%: fewer fraudulent claims. The data is recorded before the claim, and a bike with stolen status is worth less on resale. A scan also shows straight away that the bike has been reported stolen, and the finder can contact the rightful owner.

That is €55.69 net benefit per protected bike.

With an unchanged portfolio and the same assumptions, without new purchase or replacement costs.

Annual saving: 13.4× your investment

When do you earn back the investment?

For your portfolio, the additional recovery of stolen bikes already covers the investment. No reduction in theft claims is needed for that; every percent fewer claims comes on top as a saving.

Saving = bikes with an active SafeTag × share of bikes stolen × expected reduction × net loss, plus the additional recovery when enabled. Investment = SafeTags plus other costs. Year 1 includes the one-off costs; following years do not (without replacement or inflow).
