# Activate your SafeTags

To use your SafeTags, they need to be activated first. That links your SafeTags to your bike in our register.

## What do you need to activate?

SafeTag ID

Found on the sticker after "ID:" or in the middle of the SafeTag. 6 characters long.

Activation code

Starts with "BB". Printed on the sticker sheet.

## How activation works

-   Activate the SafeTags in your account
    
    Go to your account and pick "Activate SafeTags". Enter the SafeTag ID and activation code.
    

-   Receive confirmation
    
    On a successful activation you see a green success message. Can you see the status of your bike? Then the SafeTag works correctly. Stuck? Try again or get in touch.
    

-   Check that everything works
    
    Scan the QR code on the SafeTag — you should see the status of your bike.
    

-   Stick the SafeTags on your bike
    
    Place the SafeTags somewhere clearly visible. Follow the included instructions.
